Cambourne Business Park, Cambridge

Colt supplied Solarfin solar shading louvre types CEL 300/50 and CEL 480/80 attached to structural steel columns at 6m centres, with the centre span supported with stainless steel rods.

Designed by architect Aukett Europe, Colt worked closely with Contractor Alfred McAlpine on Building 2020 of this business park, which is part of a new complex which is situated outside Cambridge. The site is a completely new community, comprising a modern village with school, golf course, healthcare centre, and ecumenical church centre, as well as the business park, all served by public transport systems.

Colt supplied Solarfin solar shading louvre types CEL 300/50 and CEL 480/80 attached to structural steel columns at 6m centres, with the centre span supported with stainless steel rods. High level Solarfin louvre has been installed as a panelised system. Single and Double Bank Universal Louvre, including doors, has been supplied to the Plant Rooms, together with structurally glazed canopies over the front and rear entrances, which are supported from the steelwork of the shading system.

Both the Solarfin louvre and Universal Louvre were finished in polyester powder coating RAL 9006 and RAL 89007 (metallic silver) to create a nice aestetic design for the outside of the building.
